Thirlmere Engagement/Wedding Gift

So pleased to be able to finally share this incredibly special commission with you, now that it has been presented to Alice & Dan!

I am absolutely honoured to have been entrusted in making this piece, and also to have been given such a beautiful glimpse into the couples journey, after I was approached by the bride’s family, requesting a piece of my glass art to celebrate the engagement and marriage of this Lake District mad couple!
We started with a comprehensive consultation meeting to discuss the brief, going on to share some wonderful photos and videos, and then muse over different drafts of patterns.
This was about much more than just the spectacular engagement location of Raven Crag high above Thirlmere…., From the shape of the design (to mirror the hexagonal arch they said their vows in front of), through to the hand painted flowers winding around around its border, every aspect of the design was tailored to embrace and celebrate their marriage!
From the feedback and photos, it looks like they loved it! Hopefully, this is a piece they will treasure forever with amazing memories.
